It is NOW time for the Chelsea relegation thread
From the Chelsea forum "The Shed End".

We're in 15th, time to start treating this as a reality.

If they believe it, why shouldn't we?

I'm gutted they got rid of Mourinho because I honestly think that the way it was going they would be at least 3 points worse off right now if they had kept him on

I disagree, while some of their forward players appear to have woken up, they are still shipping goals at the back like they are going out of fashion and that is because they aren't that great defensively and I can't see that situation improving much over the rest of the season.

Add to that that the fear factor of going to the Bridge for many teams has already been eroded this season, similar to the way it has at Old Trafford. In previous seasons the game was pretty much won psychologically before a ball had been kicked but that is no longer the case. This season teams know that they can score at the Bridge and that confidence is spreading.

They wont go down but I will also be surprised if they get much more than 50 pts this season.

They also still have to play Man U, Man City, Spurs, Leicester, Stoke, Newcastle and us at home this season. Effectively they are where they having already had their easier home games.

Hate to say it, but they will probably still finish above us. I've thought that all season and stand by it. Any team with Oscar, Hazzard and Costa will eventually click and go on a run.

Loving their struggles obviously, but don't get too cocky.

A good manager should be able to work with good players (which Liverpool and Chelsea have) even if they are 'someone else's

Well, I hope the jump any way but fucking eastwards.

I know, at the end of the day, money is money (for the club), but I don't what a section of plastic, sterile johnny-come-latelies on my turf.

This is West Ham. If you're West Ham you'll understand why.

Doubt they'll go down but without champions league football next year, they'll be totally fucked. I wonder which of their superstars will be the first to jump ship.

I reckon quite a few of their "fans" will be jumping ship with them.

They will also have a new manager trying to piece together a team with someone else's players...same problem Klopp has.

Re: It is NOW time for the Chelsea relegation thread
Chelsea will not be relegated. They are too good for that. I actually think they will end up in the top half now. They will have a run of some sort which will see to that.

But there problem is not relegation. It's next season. They won't qualify for the CL and they won't win it. So no CL football. This in itself is only a short term disaster that many big clubs have overcome as long as they have a good season after.

But therein lies the problem. If they don't do well next season then this season could actually be the catalyst for many years of mediocrity and the slow fall from grace. Fingers crossed.

Shame they got that lucky point at the weekend. Thing is, champions league starts up again soon enough so they'll need to factor those games in too

Unless it's for us to win the league, fuck em. I reckon I could take a defeat to see Chelsea drop?

Swansea winning has really opened it up.

Sunderland have 4 very diffulcult games after Bournemouth on Saturday, would love to see them not win that one.

Re: It is NOW time for the Chelsea relegation thread
Their next 4 league games are:

Arsenal(A)
Watford(A)
Man U(H)
Newcastle(H)

That's probably only 4 or 5 points

Bournemouth have:

Sunderland(A)
Palace(A)
Arsenal(H)
Stoke(H)

Can't really see anything there for them, to be honest - long-shot point at the Stadium of Light, maybe

Norwich have:

Liverpool(H)
Tottenham(H)
Villa(A)
West Ham(H)

3 points for Naaaarch there, I reckon.

Without going any further, it looks as if the fixture list will allow them to put/keep a 3 team buffer between themselves and a relegation spot.

Look back in again around Valentine's Day, I reckon.

I won't believe this until we put them into the bottom three on 19th March, or at least cement their place there

Dropped more points the weekend now only 4 away from the relegation space of Newcastle.
